I was motivated.  You see, my husband and I had recently become foster parents, and we were planning to adopt our two beautiful daughters (the adoption is now complete).  At that time I was a retail manager of specialty shop.  For those of you have never done retail, this is a very demanding position in and it required a lot of evenings and weekends away from my family.  I was sick of working Saturdays and I wanted to be more in control of my time.

 

Long story short, I worked really hard and made my first sale in February (I did almost nothing in November and December because of Christmas season at my job).  I quit my job in June, and I will never go back.  Having control of my time is the most amazing thing in the world.
